Thanks to everyone who's run or helped out with this race over the past years. It's become impracticable to hold the event now that the main Holgates site is open for camping and tourers all year round.

HOWEVER, THE GOOD NEWS IS that it's slot in the FRA calendar has been filled by a new race from a nearby venue at Hollins Farm,Far Arnside.
See Arnside Knott Fell Race website for details.

Many thanks to Holgates for letting us use the old and new race venues!

A good senior turnout for the slightly extended course which makes more use of Holgates part of the woods.
Congratulations to 1st man home Carl Bell of Howgill Harriers, and 1st lady Evelyn Dugdale from Kendal AC.

Despite the good weather junior numbers were down on previous years but the high level of enthuasiasm  and effort was maintained.

Thanks to Holgates for their help and letting us use their land as the race venue, and the National Trust for their help and co-operation on the route within Eaves Wood and our race supporter The Runners Centre Lancaster who donated the excellent junior prizes.

Thanks also go to John's team at the hall for providing the after race refreshments. These were in the entry fee for runners but £62.36 was also raised by donations from friends and families and this will go to Mountain Rescue.
